I'll Make Myself a Memory, 2015
video / sound installation
A prisoner in a pulsing, dark domestic space, caught in a loop of seemingly mundane actions. A purgatory state, interrupted by sudden and surreal crescendos, this piece is part autobiographical and part fantasy, depicting a period of time years ago while living in a small flat and struggling with addiction and isolation.
Three-channel video and sound source from the installation:
The work is created using synthetic modeled spaces and objects combined with live-action materials. Three projectors and four speakers distribute the content onto large curved walls creating an image theater surrounding the viewer.
